Meet Ted Bliman
(again and again)
Ted didn’t set out to start a men’s caregiving movement—but after years in healthcare, it became clear something was missing.
After a career in health law and compliance, gaining experience smartly solving problems with families and clinicians, Ted has spent the past 4 years immersed as a leader in various senior care settings, exposed to every domestic circumstance. He and his wide network have helped families navigate the most intimate and serious of senior care challenges in home and residential settings.
Strategizing at kitchen tables, walking families through difficult decisions, and having a cool time providing 1-on-1 services with clients through their daily routines and fun (and not-so-fun) experiences, he began to notice a pattern: many older men were underserved, isolated, and often resistant to traditional care.
At the same time, he saw something else—when the right guy showed up to help, everything changed.
Guys for Grandads™ grew out of that experience. It’s built on a simple idea: men can care for men in a way that feels natural, respectful, and effective. And we need a lot more of us!
This is an innovative time for the senior care industry, and Guys for Grandads™ is going to help meet the serious mission-critical demand. We’re going lead that effort, combining hands-on caregiving with a broader vision to expand the role of men in senior care.
